Woman walks out on date to order dinner, and TikTokers love how she shot back

Everyone loves a good TikTok story about a bad first date, but what would you do if the other person showed up to shoot your version of the night?
One TikToker got into trouble after posting a video of his knucklehead date fail, but it backfired when the other guy responded with his own video.
TikToker Dafna Diamant was stingy with her date at first because she didn’t want to pay $3 extra to get cheese on her burger, arguing that was reason enough for her to go out.
Diamant explained that she met the guy for dinner and while he ordered a branzino, he simply ordered a hamburger.
She says the server asked her date if she wanted cheese on her burger, and he replied, “Will that be extra?”
The server told her it was an extra $3, so her date decided it wasn’t worth it and declined.
“I guess what the fuck really is?” says Diamant. “It’s like, oh my god, you have to pay extra for everything these days. And I’m like, “Yeah, it’s New York City.”
They got the food and Diamant ate from his before deciding to cut the date short.
“After I was satisfied, I got up and said, ‘I’m going to use the bathroom for a minute,’ and I got my bag, and then I went to the waitress and said, ‘Hey, I just want to pay the bill,'” Diamant explained. “I just paid the bill, walked out of the restaurant and texted him, ‘Check cleared. You should have bought the cheese – and I blocked you.
Yes.
Commenters couldn’t believe that the cheese was worth going on a date with, and in their responses they completely grilled her.
One user asked: “Is this a real story? Because $3 is a lot for a piece of cheese, I agree.”
Another wrote: “Truth to the cheese man.”
“I wonder how you feel when you read these comments.” I hope you don’t delete this,” read another comment, which has nearly 100,000 likes.
One commenter asked, “Who would pay $3 for a slice of cheese?” And judging by the responses, most people wouldn’t.
“Nah, that’s just… not true,” said another person.
It’s safe to say that people belong to the “cheese people” team.
The video has been viewed more than 7 million times, although a response from her alleged date, a guy named Zakir, has garnered even more hits.
In his response video, Zakir explains his thoughts on the burger and basically says goodbye to it.
“I was going to pay $21 for this burger, so adding $3 for cheese is not worth it, but thank you for paying for dinner,” Zakir says in his video, before ending with, “Bye. Ta ta.”
The comments were overwhelmingly from the guy’s side, with one person saying: “we’ve been waiting for this.”
“We were on your side the moment you mentioned ordering the branzino lol,” wrote one commenter.
“If the burger was $21 then not only should the cheese be free but the fries and drinks too,” said another top comment.
Another person wrote: “Your voice sounding sad like you’ve done something disgusting is wild lol.”
“Burger guy 1 branzino girl 0,” wrote another commenter.
Diamant later responded to the comments and called on people to back off.
“You think I don’t know I’m crazy?” he asks in his answer. “I’m crazy, but you take it to another level. You really have to take it easy.”
He then went on to explain that even though he’s a “broken” student, he doesn’t let that hold him back when he goes out.
“When I go out on a date or to a restaurant with a friend, I’m not going to splurge on money. I’m going to have fun and deal with the money later,” says Diamant. “I’m not going to be like, ‘Oh, that’s expensive.’
In a separate video, she claimed that Zakir was lying and that he was not the one she went on a date with.
However, Zakir returned with receipts, including screenshots of his DMs. His answer also shows that he is munching on a slice of cheese.
“Is that you?” wrote.
“This might be juicier than the Tom and Raquel scandal,” one user wrote under Zakir’s video.
Diamant later posted a PSA to “New York ladies” urging them to bail on first dates if they say no to something extra at a restaurant.
“Justice for Cheese Man,” reads the top comment on his video.
“3 days and still traumatized by a slice of cheese,” read another comment.
