The Guardians of the Galaxy are trying to make Christmas unforgettable. Cassian Andor and his now deceased mother continue to fan the flames of the rebellion. And Reverend Run from Run-DMC gives a hip-hop makeover to a Christmas classic. Let’s take a look at what to watch this weekend on Disney+.

In this special presentation, the Guardians, on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, head to Earth in search of the perfect gift. RUN DMC’s Rev Run takes us on a hip-hop reimagining of The Nutcracker ballet set in New York City. It’s the night of the annual New Year’s Eve block party, and Maria-Clara’s mom and pop aren’t getting along… and it’s taking her down. Maria-Clara embarks on a holiday adventure to reunite her parents, finding help along the way from the magical toymaker Drosselmeyer and the nutcracker whom she brings to life.

Maria-Clara’s journey takes her from the streets of New York to fantasy worlds where she battles mice and toy soldiers, and back in time to the Land of Sweets to find the key to unlocking her holiday wish. Will it be enough to rekindle her parents’ lost love before the clock strikes midnight? The special features top dancers Mikhail Baryshnikov, Tiler Peck, KidaTheGreat AKA Kida Burns, Jabbawockeez as magical snowflakes and more.

As we now enter the stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I’m going to recommend some fun Christmas movies from the Disney+ library. Check out “Home Alone.” The story of how Kevin McAllister outwits two comically evil thugs is a Christmas classic.

These are my picks for what to watch this weekend. What are you going to watch?
