New updates will appear at the bottom of the story…….
The original story (published on April 23, 2022) is:
Hulu is one of the most used streaming services. It is available on multiple platforms for easy access.
Hulu also boasts of offering a wide range of live channels and original content at an affordable price. Hulu is currently part of the large Disney multimedia concern.
One way to access Hulu content is through the dedicated app. The Hulu app is available on mobile devices and tablets such as the Apple iPad.
However, iPad users are facing the issue of Hulu app audio not working after iPadOS 15.4.1 update (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1011, 12).
Hulu app audio not working on iPad app after iPadOS 15.4 update
According to multiple reports, all Hulu content plays without sound on iPad tablets. The problem reportedly started after the iPadOS 15.4 update and persists on the latest iPadOS 15.4.1 update.

Other streaming services are said to work fine when updating to iPadOS 15.4. Also, Hulu app audio works well on other devices.
No sound after iOS update
So the latest iOS 15.4.1 update stops the sound in Hulu on my iPad, everything else works with sound Netflix YouTube Amazon., deleted Hulu reinstalled, hard booted tried everything, headphones work but no sound with Hulu video content, not even Hulu noise get it when you launch the app.

Same problem with iPad Air2 after 15.4 update because Hulu audio works on all other Steaming services. According to Apple, the problem should be solved by Hulu. Long time customer, but considering leaving the service if it can’t be fixed…although I have other streaming devices, I use my iPad most often to stream Hulu.

The Hulu team is already aware of a possible solution
The Hulu team is now aware of the Hulu app audio issue that iPadOS 15.4/15.4.1 users are experiencing. The company is currently investigating the matter, but there are no details on an ETA for a possible repair.

In the meantime, there is a possible workaround that involves streaming Hulu content to another device and then switching back to the iPad. After that, the Hulu content will reset the sound, but you’ll have to do this every time you start Hulu.
PS As other users in this thread point out, you can get the sound working again if you cast it to another device (eg Apple TV, then switch back to iPad), but it’s a pain since you have to do it every time you launch Hulu. There must be some low-level hardware/software interaction with the iPad Air2 and the app causing this.

AirPlay to another device and back to iPad. Fixes the sound. If you don’t have an AirPlay-enabled device like I do, download Mirroring360 for Windows and stream to it with a free trial. You have to do this every time you open a stream…. I hope this helps. (Source)
