Top 5 movies and series on Disney+ in December 2022 – What’s on on Disney Plus
Every month, Disney+ adds new series and movies to the service. It also adds new seasons of popular shows already on the service. Several of us here at “What’s On Disney Plus” are going to give you our top 5 movies and shows we can’t wait to watch every month. Let’s take a look at December 2022.
ROGER
1. DARBY AND THE DEAD
This new comedy flick from 20th Century Studios looks pretty interesting, very different from other holiday content coming out this month. It might be a bit cliché with all the high school squads, but it will be a light watch.
2. ENCANTO AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL
I love the songs from the movie and seeing them performed at the legendary Hollywood Bowl sounds like it’s going to be a great musical experience, as long as we’re not talking about Bruno.
3. THE NISSEN CLAUSES
With only a couple more episodes of this family-friendly comedy series left in December, I’ll be interested to see how this all sorts out. It might not be the best show ever, but for the holidays it’s fun enough.
4. RESTING
Easily for me the standout show I’m looking forward to seeing in December. I have watched the first few episodes and can’t wait to watch the rest of the show. It’s full of fantastic fantasy adventures and it’s nice to have something that isn’t Marvel or Star Wars.
5. NATIONAL TAX
As a huge fan of the two original films, it will be interesting to see what this series is and how it has been adapted for television. As with Willow, it’s nice to have something different to look at.
MEGAN
- Mickey’s Christmas Carol – classic, nostalgic
- Mickey: The Story of A Mouse – historical and very informative about the origin
- The Santa movies
- Limitless with Chris Hemsworth
- Disenchanted – really enjoyed the first one and can’t wait to see the sequel now that it’s out.
JEREMY
1. A MUPPET’S CHRISTMAS CAROL: EXTENDED EDITION
I love the Muppets and this is my favorite version of “A Christmas Carol”. Giving me a longer version is exactly what I want.
2. RESTING
The first LucasFilm Disney+ Original series not focused on Star Wars looks like a fun continuation of the wildly popular film.
3. THE NISSEN CLAUSES
This hilarious look at the life of Tim Allen’s Santa Claus as he heads into retirement has been enjoyable so far and has three episodes to bring it home. In addition, there is an easy transition back to the popular “The Santa Clause” films.
4. MUPPETS MOST WANTED (SINGALANG)
As I said just a few entries ago, I love the Muppets, and while “Muppets Most Wanted” lacks some of the charm of other Muppet productions, a singalong version might make the movie more enjoyable.
5. THE GREAT FIGHT OF CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
I love Christmas lights. It’s always fun to drive around the neighborhood and see how people have decorated their houses for Christmas. Although most are simple, it’s amazing to see the lengths someone goes to make the holiday special for people who drive past their homes.
