The acolyte will tell a story set a century before the events of the prequel trilogy and has been described as a mystery show. The series will take place before the events of Stakes Wars: Episode One: The Phantom Menace. It will tell the story of a former Padawan (Jedi in training) who reunites with the Jedi Master for an investigation.
The official synopsis reads, “The acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and new forces from dark sides in the last days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with his Jedi master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever expected.”
