Southern Charm’s Austen Kroll & Taylor Ann Green ‘Thought About Dating’ After ‘Dating’: Source

Southern CharmAusten Kroll and Shep Rose’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Ann Green got together in the fall after filming the show’s Season 8 reunion, a source close to production confirms to PEOPLE.

“They didn’t have sex, they just made out,” the insider explains.

Bravo declined to comment on the matter.

Rose, 43, and Green, 28, split in July after more than two years of dating. According to the source, “Shep didn’t seem to care” that boyfriend Kroll, 35, kissed his ex.

He was with his friend and companion Kroll Green Southern charm Olivia Flowers star for about six months. “Olivia wanted a relationship, but Austen never committed,” says the source.

Flowers, 30, knows about Green and Kroll’s relationship and has been shooting scenes for the upcoming season, according to the source. Southern charmin which he found out.

“Austen and Taylor were close before they knew Olivia existed,” the insider adds. “And Olivia and Austen were never in a relationship.”

According to the source, Kroll and Green were even considering taking their relationship to the next level.

“They thought about dating and took time to think [it] discussed it with their families for a brief moment,” says the production source. “But at the end of the day, Taylor said it’s not worth losing Olivia’s friendship if she and Austen aren’t working and she’s after a low [the] reunion.”

During the Season 8 reunion that aired in October, Green called out Rose for moving on so quickly after their divorce.

“You created a different person in Texas, Shep, than more women in Texas,” she said, claiming that this was just two months after their divorce.

While host Andy Cohen pointed out that Rose was single, Green didn’t care. “It’s supposed to be over 300 years old,” he said. “For example, I was the…– who stayed there for quite a while.”

Green later apologized to Rose at BravoCon 2022.

“I apologize for jumping down your throat,” he told Rose. “There is a lot of love. I recognize the sitter [here] Today.”

After watching the reunion, Green said he needed to “get back to my roots and who I am and who I know.”

Rose appreciated the feeling. “You never have to apologize to me,” he said. “I love him forever.”
