Sandy Jawanda breaks the silence about her romance with wedding guest Dan Hunjas

MAFS bride Sandy Jawanda spoke for the first time about her ex-husband Dan Hunjas’ scandalous post-show romance with one of the guests at their wedding.

Sandy and Dan, who broke up at Sunday’s engagement ceremony, tied the knot on the show at the end of January – but Dan dropped a huge spoiler days later when he revealed the relationship didn’t work out and he was already dating sister Samantha Symes.

Samantha, who has been friends with the businessman for years, previously raised eyebrows when she wore an inappropriately elegant dress to his TV wedding.

When asked about her ex’s new relationship on Fitzy & Wippa on Monday, Sandy said she didn’t notice Samantha at the wedding because Dan had invited “a lot of girls”.

But in retrospect, she’s no longer surprised by Dan’s brazen behavior, given what she now knows about the marketing guru.

Nova FM radio presenter Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald raised the issue during the interview and asked Sandy if she had had a chance to talk to Dan about Samantha.

“Sandy, I have to ask you this.” HE [Dan] he is currently seeing a woman who was at your wedding. Did you ask him questions about it? Did you know who he was? asked.

The dental hygienist sighed and replied, “There were a lot of girls at the wedding. He told me about some of them, saying they were all his friends.

“To be honest, I didn’t really remember Sam too much,” he added.

“But now I think back, I thought everyone was very friendly and kind.” Watching the wedding [on TV]I didn’t notice half the comments [about me].

“But look, the more I know about Dan, it’s no surprise.”

Dan also spoke to Fitzy & Wippa about his relationship with Samantha, denying that he was secretly dating her while experimenting with Sandy.

“You invited him to the wedding, didn’t you?” Then you went out with him when you finished the experiment, Fitzy said.

“Well, I left the experiment last September and Samantha and I just got together for the first time [in] mid-January this year, Dan replied.

“So, you know, tell me, if you date someone for six weeks, how long do you have to leave them before you move in with someone else?”

It comes after fellow MAFS star Harrison Boon came dangerously close to breaking the bro code on Monday when he was asked about his co-star Dan’s dating status on live TV.

Harrison spoke to Today Extra about the fallout from Sunday’s engagement ceremony when he mentioned that Dan was dating Samantha, months after he and his “wife” Sandy decided to call it quits.

The comment sparked the interest of host David Campbell, who asked if there was a “cross-over” between Dan’s “marriage” to Sandy and his romance with longtime friend Samantha, who was one of the guests at the couple’s televised wedding.

Given the fact that Dan and Samantha decided to go public with their relationship weeks ago – when he and Sandy were still an on-screen couple – David wondered if the pair had secretly started dating while Dan was filming MAFS last year.

Harrison was taken aback by the question and initially unsure of what to say before insisting there was no overlap between the two relationships.

She told David and co-host Belinda Russell that although Dan and Samantha had been friends for a long time, they only became romantically involved after she and Sandy ended things during filming around September.

The argument began with David asking Harrison if the business owner had spoken to him about his feelings for Sandy – or lack thereof – during the experiment.

“Well, I mean, if you look at Dan’s personal life now, he’s moved on, he’s found someone else.” So I feel what you said [to the experts] in terms of compatibility, he found someone more compatible with him,” he said.

‘Right. Was there a crossover at all? You think?’ David interrupted.

Harrison was momentarily taken aback by the question, then smiled awkwardly and asked, “Is there any crossover?”

Belinda noticed his hesitation, pointed at him and said, “Oh, look at his face!”

He then discovered his mate, saying, “No, no, not during the experiment… I think they are [Dan and Samantha] they were friends, then something happened…

‘I do not know. I can not speak [for Dan]. I would give [the scoop] for you if I had it. Honestly, from what I heard from Dan, they were friends for a long time and never discovered anything until he got out of the experiment.

Earlier in the interview, Harrison revealed that the MAFS groomsmen all grilled Dan in a WhatsApp group chat after he pulled out of Sunday’s engagement ceremony.

The semi-retired marketing executive has repeatedly said he isn’t compatible with Sandy because she doesn’t love the ocean as much as he does.

She has repeatedly referred to her “beach lifestyle”, dating back to the ocean and the ocean being her “spiritual home” – which experts and other couples found bizarre.

“The boys didn’t let Dan go easily.” The group chat was lit up with memes about him being back in the ocean, Dan’s head on a dolphin… very funny,” Harrison said.

He went on to say that he “really has feelings” for Sandy when he admitted that he still has feelings for Dany while she doesn’t have feelings for him.

However, he also defended Dan, pointing out that his friend tried to tell Sandy “a hundred different ways” that they weren’t compatible in the long run, but she didn’t seem to get it.
