MAFS’s abysmal performance in global dating shows its success ranking

MAFS Australia is one of the least successful dating shows worldwide, with just six per cent of the franchise’s couples still together, new research has revealed.

In the last nine seasons, 82 pairs have played. According to research by mobile gaming company Slingo, six percent are still cohabiting and only two percent are living legally.

While shows such as Too Hot to Handle and Love Island US boast high rates of couples still living together, the data rated them as less successful than MAFS, with the average length of their relationships being just one year, compared to MAFS’s three years.

Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle became the number one “least successful dating show,” with 14 percent of couples still together after three seasons.

The series, in which contestants lose money from the prize pool if they give in to temptation by engaging in sexual activity, has not proven to be very successful in creating lasting relationships, according to ten different dating shows.

The American version of MAFS was much better at finding love for its participants

Meanwhile, 15 per cent of Love Island couples in the US are still together after leaving the villa.

MAFS UK performed better than the Australian version, with 14 per cent of couples still together for seven seasons; however, the average relationship length is only one year.

The American version of the social experiment also managed to find love much better for its participants.

According to data from Slingo, the second most successful dating show, 24 percent of the 54 couples are still together, and the average relationship length is four years.

The most successful dating shows come from the US, with 90 Day Fiancé leading the way, with 54 percent of the 46 couples still together today, and the average relationship length after the show is six years.

Love Island UK has also been relatively successful in finding love for its contestants, with 37 per cent of its 43 couples still together and 9 per cent of those tying the knot.

The average relationship length of the couples in the British series is three years.

17 percent of Netflix’s Love Is Blind couples are still together, while the average relationship from this show is three years.
