Kai tells Sanam that her mother will “love” her on their last date

Love Island wrapped up its winter series this week as the final five couples go on one last date before the grand finale.

Last but not least, in Friday’s episode, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan in order to get their romantic final date.

The fifth and final couple head to a gorgeous venue with sweeping staircases, fully lit by candles.

And as the conversation drifts outside, Kai confesses to Sanam that he thinks she’ll get along well with her family, sharing that her mother will “love” her.

Calling her “the kindest-hearted girl I’ve ever met,” the PE teacher expresses her feelings for the social worker, who admits she’s smitten.

The couple dress to impress for their big date, with Kai looking stunning in a black suit and Sanam in a black evening dress.

As they walk into the stunning venue, complete with grand staircases and romantically lit by candles, they are treated to music by a pianist.

Talking about their future, Kai talks about his family and tells Sanam, “My mom is going to absolutely adore you because you’re literally the sweetest, sweetest girl I’ve ever met, and she’s going to see how good you are to me.”

Later, regarding their similar careers, the teacher says: “Our careers are so similar that it takes a special person to be in the field we both went into, I’m a teacher and you’re a child social worker.”

“I love hearing you talk about your work, I just love this side of you, I think it’s amazing,” Sanam replies.

He continues: “It also drew me in that you have to be a certain type of person to deal with children, and to really love them shows what a kind heart you have.”

The couple dances to piano music and share a sweet kiss while enjoying their date.

But a dark cloud still looms when they are given the decision to vote on which couple they think are the least compatible in the villa.

Confused about who to choose, Sanam admits, “It’s not easy.”

Each couple must choose who they think is the least compatible, and the couple with the most votes is in danger of being kicked off the island during the episode.

After spending their last day, Kai and Sanam return to the villa, both catching up with the other islanders to discuss how their date went.

They are soon interrupted, however, as a message arrives at the villa, which reads: “May the islanders gather around the fire at once?”

The exit will be uncertain for the couple, as they will not make it to Monday’s live final.
