How to plan your week with the Brite app

You can organize your work processes more efficiently with the help of a productivity-enhancing application that enables the execution of several tasks in one place. And if you’re looking for something to meet those requirements, Brite is a good place to start.
With the Brite app, you can create simple to-do lists and plan weekly events on your calendar. You can also choose which tasks are most important – and see how much time you spend on less urgent tasks. This article shows you how to plan your week with the Brite app. You will learn how to optimize the start of your day and much more.
1. Setting work and personal tasks
If you’re new to productivity systems, to-do lists are a beginner-friendly starting point. With Brite, you can split your checklist into work and personal tasks, and you’ll see both options on your home page. Adding tasks to these sections is easy. First, you need to select the Addition button at the top of any section.
A text field will then appear. Enter the name of the thing you want to add to your to-do list. Then click on + icon or press your computer Enter key.
You can check the circle next to each task when completing it.
2. Ranking the most important tasks of the week
You may be familiar with the Pareto principle, also known as the 80/20 rule. The idea behind this is that you get 80% of your results with 20% of the activities you do. Other concepts, such as Deep Work, also emphasized the importance of focusing on core tasks.
But considering that many people have a lot on their daily to-do list, it’s easy to skip the difficult (but important) tasks in favor of something easier. If you struggle to make significant progress toward your goals, you may find Brite’s prioritization feature especially helpful.
After creating a new work or private task in the app, you can unzip the card. A button will appear at the bottom with the name Priority. Click to expand and select an importance level. If the function changes, you can close the card.
3. Setting up recurring tasks where necessary
This week, you will probably have many tasks that you have to do several times. Answering emails is one of the most common examples. And if you want to plan everything for the next seven days, manually adding these tasks will waste a lot of time.
Fortunately, many productivity apps—including Brite—allow you to set up repetitive tasks. After creating the task, expand the card and go to the bottom of the screen again. When you’re there, you’ll see a section with two arrows Repeat.
When the following window appears, you will see a wide variety of customization options; you can choose whether tasks should be repeated daily. You can also specify how long you want this action to continue.
In addition to choosing which days you want tasks to repeat, you can also choose specific dates each month. You might find the monthly option better for less frequent tasks like sending invoices if you’re a freelancer.
Brite offers many customization options and you can find many widgets that you can add to your home screen. There are a few options to consider when planning your week, including: Calendar, Goalsand Projects.
Adding these to Brite isn’t much of a challenge. You will see a small icon in the upper right corner of the dashboard. Expand this and there are many plugins to choose from.
After adding widgets, you can see them on the right side of the screen. To see them in more detail, click on the tab. Once there, you can add anything you need – and when you’re done, hit the button x icon in the upper left corner to close the window again.
5. Start your day optimally
A productive day doesn’t have to be difficult, but many people put themselves on the back burner immediately after waking up. When you don’t know what tasks to complete, you often find yourself in a reactive state for most of the day. And when that happens, it’s hard to make time for the tasks that really move you forward.
There are lots of tricks you can try to refocus your mind at the start of each day, and journaling is one of the best. Brite has it handy Diary feature to quickly check your mood in the morning. You can mention what affected your feelings, how you slept and so on.
You can add the Diary section as a widget; after a few days you will need to upgrade to the paid version of Brite to continue using it. If you want to stick with a free plan or want to write your thoughts more freely, you can always use the Notes log your thoughts instead of a function.
6. Dividing your work into different projects
Whether you’re a student, self-employed, or have a regular job, you probably have to divide your time between different areas. Organizing can get tricky after a while, and it’s a good idea to actively try to divide your work accordingly.
Brite has a Projects section that allows you to do the above. After selecting this option in the left toolbar, you can create a new project on the next page Addition button at the top.
In the pop-up window, you can add titles, descriptions and anything else you feel is necessary.
7. Recording of meetings, deadlines and events
When planning your week in Brite, you can easily add meetings, deadlines, and other events to your workspace. The easiest way to do this is to add the Calendar widget and expand the window. After the calendar appears, you can create a new event by clicking on a time slot. Alternatively, you can choose Addition in the upper right corner.
Adding an event to your calendar from here on is no different from Google Calendar. You can customize how long it lasts below. If the event is a whole day, you can also choose that. The Brite calendar allows you to choose the location of the event and many other things.
