Globus to delight consumers with exciting entertainment from Disney+ – Manila Bulletin

The long wait is over.

Globe, the country’s most trusted mobile network, is the first telecom operator to distribute the much-anticipated Disney+ streaming service in the Philippines starting November 17.

With Globe’s reliable high-speed network and extensive coverage, Disney+ subscribers will have access to a vast library of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star.

“We are proud to be the first telco to distribute Disney+ to Filipino viewers who have been eagerly waiting for the streaming service to be available here,” said Globe Group President and CEO Ernest Cu.

Globe has undertaken various ventures with Disney since 2015, with both brands having their own history of storytelling that has captivated Filipinos for decades. Globe customers have been treated to first-timers at select Disney theatrical screenings, video streaming via DisneyLife, Disney Interactive’s mobile games and Disney Lifestyle products.

Just in time for the holidays, Globe and Disney+ have a lot in store for customers who have longed to experience The Walt Disney Company’s unparalleled storytelling and the power of stories that inspire hope, inspire imagination and energize.

From iconic films from Walt Disney Animation Studios, to heartwarming and powerful storytelling from Disney and Pixar, to blockbusters from the exciting worlds of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to Star Wars movies and latest series, to compelling documentaries and specials from National Geographic and the incredible collection of general entertainment series, movies, documentaries and other content under Star, there’s something for everyone on Disney+.

Disney+ subscribers will be able to follow quirky Mirabel as she saves Encanto. Disney+ features over 1,800 movies and 32,000 episodes, including an extensive and ever-growing collection of Disney+ Originals and beloved library titles, spanning nearly a century of unforgettable storytelling.

“A good story can entertain us, but a great Disney story does so much more – it reflects our values, strengthens our convictions and pushes us forward to embrace each day. Globe customers can choose from a variety of subscription plans to access Disney+, including the mobile subscription for ₱159 per month or ₱1,150 per year or, for streaming on up to four devices, the Disney+ Premium plan for ₱369 per month or ₱2,950, – a year.

Postpaid customers can charge the subscription to their bill, while prepaid users can choose to pay via their load credits. Globe Platinum customers, meanwhile, can avail of a Disney+ subscription and charge it to the monthly consumption allowance of their Platinum plan. Customers with the GlobeOne app can also subscribe to Disney+ using Globe Rewards points for 127 points for a monthly mobile plan, or 295 points for a monthly Premium plan. To get more Rewards points, postpaid subscribers of GPlan PLUS 799 and above can convert their GBs into Rewards points.

New Globe At Home customers applying for GFiber Unli Plan 2499 or higher and recontracting customers upgrading to GFiber Unli Plan 2499 or higher will be able to enjoy Disney+ Premium Annual access on us.

New and re-contracting Mobile Postpaid customers applying for or renewing GPlan PLUS 1299 to 2499 can get an annual Disney+ mobile plan at no extra cost. The GPlan PLUS campaign runs from 17 November to 31 December 2022.
