Bindi Irwin and her brother Robert encourage their mother Terri to find love, 16 years after the untimely death of their Crocodile Hunter father Steve.

The couple want Terri to “find happiness again” and are reportedly encouraging her to sign up for dating apps.

Bindi and Robert tried to get Terri to freshen up her look. She’s beautiful under all that khaki and deserves to show it off,” a source told New Idea.

“However, there is a bit of an ulterior motive on the part of the kids – they want to dress her up and photograph her to help her join dating apps.”

The insider explained: “They know they will never find someone like their father – there is no such man. They just want their mom to know that happiness again.

Steve, known as the Crocodile Hunter, died on September 4, 2006, aged 44, after being stabbed in the chest by a stingray while filming the wildlife documentary Ocean’s Deadliest in Queensland.

Terri has never dated or remarried since her husband’s death, despite rumors of romances with the likes of Russell Crowe over the years.

The Irwins, meanwhile, kept Steve’s memory alive through their conservation work at Australia Zoo.

The family’s latest tribute to Steve is the Crocodile Hunter Lodge, which consists of luxury cabins within the zoo grounds.

Elegant rooms offer guests modern amenities in a picturesque setting, and the website lists cabins that sleep four for $949 a night.

There is also a restaurant on site called ‘Warrior’ which pays tribute to Bindi’s father and Terri’s late husband Steve and her granddaughter Grace Warrior.

In a recent video posted to Instagram Stories, Robert revealed that some of the wood used in the buildings was recycled from the crocodile grandstand originally built by Steve.

“So most of the lodge was actually hand built by dad,” Robert said in the clip.

The insider explained: “They know they will never find someone like their father – there is no such man. They just want their mom to know that happiness again.

He said all three trees were “originally planted by Dad” and that this place was Steve’s dream.

Terri also appeared in the video and explained that Steve had always dreamed of creating an immersive experience for visitors.

It has always been Steve’s dream that one day people will not only be able to visit Australian zoos, but also stay there. Make it an immersive experience, he said.

“It was so important to us to make her dreams come true with a beautiful luxury accommodation surrounded by the conservation work we are known for.”
