Paramount+ and Disney+ added classic movies to their libraries this week, including The Muppet’s Christmas Carol and Celeste and Jesse Forever. Paramount+ also added a new interview series that gives celebrities a platform to express the fears they experienced during a major health crisis. The platform will also host the annual CBS holiday tradition of decorating the National Christmas Tree outside the White House.
Paramount+ added Celeste and Jesse Forever on December 5th
The 2012 romantic comedy-drama film, Celeste and Jesse Forever, shows the outcome of a failed marriage between high school sweethearts. Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) married young and spent many years happily together and in love until Celeste decided she wanted a divorce. They had always been good friends, but lost the spark along the way. Their separation creates jealousy and insecurity in the main characters as they navigate the next phase of their lives without each other. The film works as an exciting film that will bring laughter and tears.
The Checkup: With Dr. David Agus Premieres on Paramount+ December 6
Paramount+ released the first three episodes of a new medical interview series featuring celebrities who have overcome terrifying situations in their personal lives. Dr. Davis Agus, a CBS News medical contributor, provides intimate interviews with famous celebrities who want to share their stories of strife and medical uncertainty. The series serves to normalize discussions about maintaining health and how important it is for people from all walks of life to prioritize. Celebrities featured include Ashton Kutcher, Oprah Winfrey, Howie Mandel, Amy Schumer, Nick Cannon, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
Willow Still on Disney+ December 7th
Willow is a fantasy adventure series based on the 1988 film of the same name. The series continues the story many years after the end of the film, bringing together an unlikely group of heroes to save the world from Gales. The film was based on a story by George Lucas, who served as executive producer on the project. Produced by Lucasfilm and Imagine Entertainment, the series continues the story and brings Lucas’ characters back to life. Only three episodes are available on Disney+, but critics have already given the series an 83 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Released thirty years ago in 1992, the film stars Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge and is a fun musical experience for the whole family this holiday season.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again is the franchise’s first animated film. The previous installments were live-action films starring Ben Stiller as Larry Daley. This new animated film brings the story to the next generation as Larry’s son, Nick Daley, becomes the new night watchman at the Museum of Natural History. When he forgets to lock the basement door, Nick falls victim to the return of an old enemy who is set to take over the world once and for all.
