A new trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 has been shadowed on Disney+, ahead of its official launch on Lucasfilm’s social channels.

Disney+ shared a new trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2, which was initially only available on the streaming service itself.

This was an unexpected marketing move by Star Wars and Lucasfilm, as their official trailers usually fall in line with social media releases. It’s possible that the trailer may have been added to Disney+ by accident, before its wider release.

Still, the footage offers a new look at the show, including Commander Cody, who has traded in his orange suit for a strange gray suit of armor:

The new trailer was capped by the return of Captain Rex in the upcoming season, who offers the Bad Batch a mission:

The full list of episodes was also unveiled, with a whopping 16 installments coming for Season 2.

Interestingly enough second season of The Bad Batch will have three two-episode premieres, one at the start of the season, one for the midseason and one for the season finale:

  • 11 January – Episode 203 “The Solitary Clone”
  • 18 January – Episode 204 “Aunt”
  • January 25 – Episode 205 “Entombed”
  • 1st of February – Episode 206 “Tribe”
  • February 8 – Episode 207 “The Clone Conspiracy” & Episode 208 “Truth and Consequences”
  • February 15 — Episode 209 “The Crossing”
  • February 22 — Episode 210 “Retrieval”
  • 1 March – Episode 211 “Metamorphosis”
  • March 8 – Episode 212 “The Outpost”
  • March 15 – Episode 213 “Pabu”
  • March 22 — Episode 214 “The Tipping Point”
  • March 29 – Episode 215 “The Summit” & Episode 216 “Plan 99”

The official release of the trailer also came with the unveiling of a new poster, showing the team in all their glory.

The Bad Batch Season 2 also received a new press release along with the new trailer, teasing “new and familiar” friends and enemies that await in the new season:
