Although Google strictly monitors apps with the promise of Play Protect, some of them can be malicious and slip under the radar, leaving users vulnerable to malicious attacks. When downloaded to your smartphone, these apps can not only steal your data, but can potentially compromise your financial information, jailbreak your phone, and even compromise your phone, leaving you with worthless and super-expensive paperwork. Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DES) and National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) recently announced that they had discovered 203 malicious apps targeting phones and urged users to remove them immediately.
