Ahsoka isn’t coming to Disney+ in 2022, here’s what we know
While everyone is eagerly awaiting this new Disney+ series, there are actually a few details that are being left out. But we’re going to fill you in on all the details you need to know about it.
Well, before that, Ahsoka is an upcoming limited American TV series. It was developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for the streaming service Disney+. Ostensibly, it is part of the Star Wars franchise and a spin-off from The Mandalorian series, taking place in the same time frame as that series and its other connected spin-offs after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). Ahsoka features the character Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian and other Star Wars media.
Filming began in early May 2022, with several characters from the Star Wars Rebels animated series revealed to appear. In addition to that, Ahsoka is scheduled for release in 2023.
The following is everything we know about Ahsoka so far. Be sure to check it out.
Currently, we cannot provide the full list of the official cast of the series. For all we know, Ahsoka’s casting follows as reported.
- Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano (a former Jedi Padawan, who was once Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice)
- Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren (A young Mandalorian warrior and graffiti artist, Imperial Academy dropout and a former bounty hunter with expert knowledge of weapons and explosives.)
- Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker (Ahsoka’s former Jedi mentor who fell to the dark side of the Force and became Sith Lord Darth Vader.)

In addition to the above casts, reports claim that Ivanna Sakhno and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have been cast in undisclosed roles, while Ray Stevenson has been cast as a villainous admiral. The characters Hera Syndulla and Chopper will appear in the series.
At this moment of writing, the exact plot line of the show is still under wraps. However, the official synopsis of this upcoming series reads: “After making her highly anticipated live-action debut in ‘The Mandalorian,’ Ahsoka Tano’s story, written by Dave Filoni, will continue in a limited series, Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson in starring and executive produced by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau.”
Unfortunately, while it is very clear that the show will premiere in 2023, there has been no official update regarding the confirmed release date of the series.
